The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Friday, September 7, 2012 at First United Holiness Church, 510 Morse Avenue, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Elder Michael Coley, Jr., pastor, will officiate.
Mrs. Rose was born July 23, 1921 in Ideal, Macon County Georgia, to the late Henry Kaigler and Emma Collins Kaigler. She was the eldest of five children. She acquired her education in Macon County, Georgia School system. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Henry Draines and to this union they were blessed with five children; three preceded her in death, Emma Gilbert, Gregory Draines and Barbara Draines.
In 1956, Rose accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined the Bronx Refuge Temple in New York. Rose later moved back to Ideal, after her husband demise to care for her ailing father, the late Henry Kaigler. She was a faithful member of First United Holiness Church, until her demise.
Rose leaves a legacy of memories to her daughter, Gwendolyn Draines Kerr, Cleveland, Ohio and her son Duane Draines of Ideal, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her church members, other relatives and friends.
