The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 West, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Antioch McDonald Cemetery, McDonald Road, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Robert Cotton was born in New York City, New York April 3, 1962 to Mary Lean Cotton and the late Robert Bailey. He was a 1980 graduate of Kennedy Center, Flint Michigan and he was employed with a local factory as a machine operator. Around 2010, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, the late Mack and Gertrude Cotton, and paternal grandparents, Johnny and Allie B. Bailey. The legacy of a beautiful life will remain a treasure forever in the memories of those who survive which include one daughter, Rachicka Cotton, Morrow, Georgia; one granddaughter, M’Yana Dancy, Morrow, Georgia; mother, Mary Lean Cotton, Flint, Michigan; brothers, Robert Harris, Reynolds, Georgia, Andre (Daphne) Bailey, Douglasville, Georgia and Torris (Cherie) Bailey, Atlanta, Georgia; god sister, Denise Conley, Flint, Michigan; aunts and uncles, devoted aunt, Elois Terry, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Mack (Minnie) Cotton, Lithonia, Georgia, Maxine (James) Gentry, Flint, Michigan, Doris (Fredrick) Thompson, Atlanta, Georgia, Willie (Essie) Cotton Marshallville, Georgia, Annie Cotton, Atlanta, Georgia, Jimmie Cotton, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Mary (George) Harris, Decatur, Georgia, Earlene (Crawford) Pride, Dothan, Alabama, Johnny Bailey, Sr., Lithonia, Georgia, Willie Bailey, Stockbridge, Georgia, Gregory Bailey, Atlanta, Georgia, and Curtis Bailey, Atlanta, Georgia; nieces and nephews; a host of beloved cousins and friends.
