Rebertha Weeks, age 85, passed on September 7, 2023.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Rebertha Weeks was born in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Thelma Curgil and the late Collin Bentley Jr. on October 6,1937. She was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Simpson, and four siblings, Mary Yarn, Willie Bee Williams, Doris Chatman, and Lila Bentley. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She was employed at Southern Tea Company and Atlanta Public School Transportation for fifteen years. Rebertha enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her children James Bentley (Cynthia Grooms Bentley), Stephanie Chatman (Danny Chatman) all of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Courtney McKinzie, Montezuma, Georgia, Joshua Bentley, New Jersey, Kacy Coleman Jr., Atlanta, Georgia, Meleke Cotton, Texas and Toniko Cotton, Atlanta, Georgia; great grandchildren, King Bentley, Kimora Bentley, Temari Cotton, Tahir Cotton, Harlem Coleman, Tarah, Bentley, and Tobias Bentley; two sisters, Marie Walker and Georgie Lee Spivey. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
