
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Ola Mae Williams Turner was born November 7, 1939, in Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia to the late Willie Williams and the late Idella Huff Williams. Growing up in the vicinity of Ideal, Georgia, she attended the historic elementary school. She later joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Monford. After attending High School, Ola moved to New York City whereas she obtained a job and learned the skill of making seat covers for furniture and cars.
Ola the last of the fourteen children was preceded in death by her baby siblings, Jessie, Lessie, Willie Henry, Hattie Bell Williams Hankerson, Jossie Mae Williams Meadows, Elouise Williams West, Homer Williams, Sr., Sallie Ann Williams Little, Beulah Williams Griffin, Dessie Lee Williams Taylor, Betty Odell Williams Duncan, and Willie Williams: a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
