Mrs. Gloria Holt Davis, age 67, 331 Pineville Road, Apt. D19, Buena Vista, Georgia 31803 passed Sunday morning, July 1, 2018 at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Moody Road, Tazewell, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. The Reverend Joe Oglesby, pastor, will officiate.
Gloria was born July 21, 1950 in Marion County, Georgia to the late Willie Clemmons and the late Norris Holt. She was preceded in death by one brother, Obie Holt. She was educated in the public school system of Marion County. She was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church where she supported every facet of the church until her health failed. She was married to Jessie Davis. Gloria enjoyed fishing and gardening. Gloria was employed as cook in local restaurants.
Her survivors include her husband, Jessie Davis; three loving and devoted children, Ricky Holt (Lillie), Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Davis (Willie) and Shaun (Melody) Morrison, both of Buena Vista, Georgia; her six grandchildren, Brianna Turner, Robert Sanford, Jermaine Davis, Bryan Davis, DeAngela Davis and Marquez Davis; three great grandchildren, Skylar Turner, Scarlett Turner, Adrian Henderson, Saniya Turner, Chase Sanford, and Robert Sanford, Jr.; five siblings, Rosie Lee Holt, Curtis Holt, Eva Holt, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Mae Willie Holt and Peggy Ogburn (Tony), both of Atlanta, Georgia; two step brothers James Nole Mathis, Alden Mathis; an uncle, Roy Holt, Buena Vista, Georgia; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
