Memorial services celebrating the life of Earnestine Lee McGhee will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 210 Whitworth Road, Perry, Georgia.
Earnestine Lee McGhee was born in Macon County, Georgia on March 1, 1947, to the late parents of Robert and Willie Mae Lee. She slipped away peacefully on March 2, 2024, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia. She graduated from Vienna High and Industrial School, Vienna, Georgia. Earnestine was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Henderson, Georgia. She was employed with Dooly County School System, Dooly County MR Service Center, and Summerhill Nursing Home. She was a devoted foster parent for 30 plus years. Earnestine touched so many during her lifetime.
Preceding her in death are her parents Robert and Willie Mae Lee; her grandson Kerry Glenn; Brothers: Robert Lee Sr, Oscar Lee, Roosevelt Lee Sr, Joe Henry Lee, Carson Felder, Johnny Wollfork; Sister Obie Loftly.
Survivors left to cherish her memories are her children Bobby McGhee (Sherona Towns) of Warner Robins, Georgia; Ketena (Gary) Felder of Perry, Georgia; Corey (LaKeisha) Daniels of Perry, Georgia; Dontavious McGhee of Perry, Georgia; Crystal (Robert) Merrell of Vienna, Georgia; Rayetta McNeal, Warner Robins, Georgia; Brittany Lee of Perry, Georgia; and Glenn Ryan of Macon, Georgia. Sister-Brothers: Amos (Bernice) Lee of Unadilla, Georgia; Brenda Harvey of Oglethorpe, Georgia; and Tommy (Mattie) Lee of Montezuma, Georgia. She leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great grandchild that she adored. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends. Her devoted friends are Nelvenia McWilliams, Patsy Carter, and Lillian Mangham.
