
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Union Tabernacle Baptist Church, Adderton Street, Americus, Georgia where Reverend Larry Sims is pastor. Burial will follow in the Staley Memorial Cemetery, corner of Mayo Street and Souther Field Road, Americus, Georgia.
She was born November 8th, 1965 in Americus, Georgia to Martha Kate English Bruce and Walter Bruce, Sr. She was a 1986 graduate of Americus High School. She continued her education at South Georgia Technical College whereas she pursued a degree in Early Childhood Development.
She was employed at Captain D’s for 12 years and later as a dietician in the Sumter County Board of Education for 3 years. She was a great cook and loved children and babies. A person of a few words, with the greatest laugh.
She song with the Andersonville St. Paul A.M.E. Church Choir and was a member of Union Tabernacle Baptist Church where she exemplified her worth on the Usher Board Ministry, Mercy Showing Ministry, and Youth Department Ministry until her health began to decline.
Survivors include a loving and devoted daughter, Diamond Taylor of Americus, Georgia; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walt T. Bruce, Sr. of Americus, Georgia; siblings, Walt T. Bruce (Bertha), Plains, Georgia and Felicia Bruce Releford (James), Warner Robins, Georgia; two nieces, Dasia and Kyaria Walker, Warner Robins, Georgia; one nephew, Jabori Moore, Warner Robins, Georgia; one great niece, Kyndall Merritt, Warner Robins, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Minnie Thomie, Warner Robins, Georgia, Carolyn Hall (Mack), Americus, Georgia, Daisy Gordon (Alvin), Morrow, Georgia, Pearlie Mae Bruce, Jonesboro, Georgia, Georgia Childs, New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Bertha Terry, Andersonville, Georgia, Dave English (Thelma), Cordele, Georgia, Willie English (Gloria), John L.
