Bradford Calhoun Harrison, fondly known as “Brad”, was born July 15, 1956, in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Mary Mae Fish Patrick and Charles Harrison. On Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The Lord called him home. Bradford will be remembered for his generous heart and for always helping with his family, community, and friends. Bradford was united in holy matrimony to Laura Hannor and to this union they were blessed with two children.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at New Piney Grove Baptist Church, 7126 Hwy 49 North, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will be held December 28, 2023, at the Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia with military honors at 10:00 A.M.
Bradford was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Gloria Jean Harmon; one niece, Yomeisha Harmon; and one nephew, Demetrius Robinson. Bradford was educated in the Historic school of D.F. Douglass High School where he graduated with the class of 1974. He served in the United State Army, and he was honorably discharged in 1974. He then attended Georgia Southwestern State University for two years. Bradford accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and joined Piney Grove Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia.
Left to remember his legacy and love: His beloved children, Evita Harrison Glover (Kelvin), Elgin, South Carolina, Kyndall Harrison, Leesburg, Georgia; Bianca Wells (Courtney), Americus, Georgia; four grandchildren: Tyler Kitchen, Lauren Baisden, Camdan Sims, and Chandler Sims. Two beloved siblings who he adored: Marilyn Lundy, Reynolds, Georgia; and Darrell Harrison, Montezuma, Georgia; Nieces and nephews: Donnique Harrison, Sandy Johnson (Claudette), Rainer Harrison, Altomese Randall (Daron), Dexter N. Harmon Jr., Jamaal Phillips, LaKeisha Frederick, Vonterrious Harrison, Cordero Harmon, Kelbreshia Harmon, Katrina Harrison–Martin, Darranicka Harrison, and Jesse Hannor. Eleven aunts: Mary Brown, Lovejoy, Georgia; Elizabeth Sutton (James) Lovejoy, Georgia; Jelie Ann Mobley, Coleman, Florida; Virginia Taylor (Lester), Ocala, Florida; Agnes Monford, Orlando, Florida; Betty Harris, Lillie Thornton, Rudine Martin, and Marilyn Fudge all of Montezuma, Georgia, Annie Tookes, Orlando, Florida, and Jesse B Spivey (James). One uncle: Willie James Odom (Naomi), Montezuma, Georgia; Ten devoted friends and cousins: Larry Ogburn, William Felton Sr., Dan (D.B) Clark, Roy Smith, T.J. Adams, Chris Riley, Rickey Perkins, Marcus Joseph, Fred Lee Harris, Travis Towns, and Jeremy Evans and a host of other relatives and friends.
