Annie Clyde James Wright was born on December 7, 1960, in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Clyde Slaughter and the late Annie Ree James Sanders. Annie was reared by the late Eddie Sanders whom she affectionately loved and called “Daddy”.
Annie was a 1978 proud graduate of Tri-County High School in Marion County, Georgia. After graduation and in the year of 1979, Annie began her career as a CNA where she worked for 40 plus years. For 21 years, Annie traveled tirelessly up and down the road between Marion, Chattahoochee, Stewart, and Webster Counties as a Home Health Care Aide taking care of people who needed help. For 19 plus years, Annie worked in a nursing facility in Marion, Taylor, and Meriwether Counties loving and caring for the elderly. After Annie decided that it was time for her to retire, she started keeping her granddaughter and niece until her health started declining. Annie loved helping her family, listening to music especially “The Manhattan”, dancing, working in her yard, cooking, and she enjoyed life as much as her health allowed her to do so.
Annie was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Annie Ree James Sanders, the father who reared her, Mr. Eddie Sanders, her father, Mr. Clyde Slaughter, and two sisters, Ms. Lula Ree James and Ms. Frances “Fluchee” Williams.
