The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Willie was born on September 29, 1947, to the late Arlee Cochran Ball and the late Mr. Lewis Felton, and was later raised by his stepfather, the late King Ball. He received his early education in the Macon County public school system and completed his formal studies at the historic D.F. Douglass High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1970 with the rank of PFC, Specialist 4. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a self-employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arlee Cochran Ball and Lewis Felton, as well as his siblings, Earnest Cochran, William Felton, Wayne Felton, David Ball, and Eloise Felton.
He leaves to cherish his many memories: his loving wife, Rudine Felton, his children, Angela Dean (Gerald) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; Willie Felton Jr. (Stephanie), Jacksonville, North Carolina, Jennifer Felton–Duncan (Cedric), Andersonville, Georgia, Darrel Felton, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Isaac Felton, Sherita Felton, Keith Felton all of Perry, Georgia, Shon Martin and Searcy Martin both of Montezuma, Georgia. His Sisters-in-law, Agnes Monford, Orlando, Florida, Betty Harris, Montezuma, Georgia, Mary Brown, Orlando, Florida, Lillie Thornton, Montezuma, Georgia, and Elizabeth Sutton of Hartford, Connecticut. His Brother-in-law: Willie James Odom, Montezuma, Georgia, A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including a devoted cousin, Eddie Cochran (Mose).
