Whitney Ashley Duncan, age 36, transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 7, 2025.

Ms. Whitney Ashley Duncan was born on April 19, 1989, in Sumter County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Bennie Cordell Duncan, Jr. and Mrs. Barbara Washington Duncan. Whitney graduated from Macon County High School in the Class of 2007. She furthered her education at Tuskegee University, where she proudly earned her degree in Architectural Engineering. She was gainfully employed by Gresham Smith.

Whitney departed this earthly life to be with Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Bennie C. Duncan Jr. and her paternal grandparents, Bennie C. Duncan Sr. and Carrie Lewis Duncan.

She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her deep compassion for others, and her remarkable talents in creative cooking and baking. Whitney touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit. Whitney’s joy for life and love for others left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the First Salem Baptist Church, 191 Twin Churches Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Montezuma, Georgia.

Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
