Graveside services will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church, Hwy 26, Montezuma, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates at all services at this time. We are limiting graveside seating to no more than 10 with masks being strongly encouraged. Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing.
Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Terry was born October 2, 1958 in Macon County, Georgia to the late Iris Cosby Snipes and the late Eddie C. Snipes. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Snipes. She acquired her education in the Macon County public school system. She was a 1976 graduate of Macon County High School, a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and a retired para-professional of Macon County Board of Education. She enjoyed fellowship and preparing delicious meals for friends and family and no one left her home hungry.
Survivors are two daughters, Jennifer Carson, Warner Robins, Georgia and Iris Carson of Atlanta, Georgia; two grand children, Reagan Walker and Gregory Walker, Jr.; five sibling, Bonnette McDonald (Deacon Charlie), Montezuma, Georgia, Gloria Monford and Helen Snipes both of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Laverne Snipes, Montezuma, Georgia and Edward Snipes, Warner Robins, Georgia; step-mother, Edna Snipes, Atlanta, Georgia; uncle Eddie C. Thornton; devoted nephew Jerry Haugabook, devoted cousin Minnie McDonald; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including devoted friends Rev. Moneka Braswell, Julia Tookes, Helen Ogburn, Jeanette Wilson, Jennifer McCant, and the New Hope Baptist Church Family.
