Stephanie Calloway Tyson, age 42, of Americus, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Jehovah Baptist Church, 201 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.

My beautiful cousin / best friend of over 35+ years. For the past 5 years we've nearly talked daily and now reality has set that your gone. Step we laughed, cried and talked together about everything. My heart is broken that your gone but I'm thankful no more suffering you held it in the road as we would say . Love you Step and I will never forget you . Thank God for sharing you with everyone for the time he did !

My girl, my girl, my girl. Words alone are not enough to describe the true friend that u were to me. I appreciate our conversation, laughter, cries, prayers and much more. No matter what I went through u stood by my side and never judged me. We could literally talk about anything. You were a great mother and definitely daughter. Your faith never waiver and I thank God for you. U were such a beautiful woman. Friend, I’m going to miss you so much. I love you Calli.

so very sorry for the loss of your close friend. pray that you and her family are comforted i n the fact that you each have your own memories of her. I remember her when she worked at Head Start for a short time.
