Rosia Mae Jones

Mrs. Rosia Mae Tookes Jones, age 89, 629 Sam Carter Road, Reynolds, Georgia passed Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Montezuma Health Center, Montezuma, Georgia. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Corinth Baptist Church, State Route 127 West, Garden Valley Community. The Reverend Governor Gibson, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Whitewater Road, Ideal, Georgia.

Mrs. Jones was born September 12, 1921 in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia to the late Ed Tookes and Ida Mae Duncan Tookes. She was educated in the public school system of Macon County. She was married to the late Bat Jones and to this union they were blessed with eleven children; six preceded her in death, Billy Jones, Fred Jones, Kenny Jones, Morris Jones, Willie C. Jones and Georgia Mae Jones.

She was a devout member of the Corinth Baptist Church, where she supported every facet of the church she loved so well. She was a mother of great strength and honor. She loved her family, her Christian family and the community at large with unconditional love.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Georgia Ann Jones, Reynolds, Georgia; four sons, T. J. Jones Montezuma, Georgia, Ernest Jones (Venus), Atlanta, Georgia, Jessie Joe Jones, Reynolds, Georgia, Melvin Jones: fourteen grandchildren: Frances Jones a granddaughter she reared as her own, Greensboro, Georgia, Kentrivius Jones, Ft. Valley, Georgia, Shamica Kaigler, Jennifer Jones, Lekenny Kaigler all of Montezuma, Georgia, Sylvia Jones, Tony Jones, Randy Jones all of Atlanta, Georgia, Arlena (Bobby) Walker, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Danny Jones, Atlanta, Georgia, Bridgett Jones, Jessie James Jones, Jr. both of Florida, Gwen Williams, Montezuma, Georgia, and Eddie C. Jones, Macon, Georgia; daughters-in-law, Lillie Jones, and Louvenia Jones, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Catherine Jones, Butler, Georgia and Mary Kaigler, Warner Robins, Georgia; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS, GOD CAME AND PLUCKED ANOTHER FLOWER OUT THE GARDEN. BE STRONG AND KNOW THAT MRS.ROSIA MAE SPIRIT WILL FOREVER LIVE IN YOU ALL HEART.

It warms my heart to see such heartfelt condolences concerning my grandma. She was very loved and I thank God for a chance to meet her as well as good people like you all. May God bless you and keep you
