
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Union Hill A.M.E. Church, 392 Spivey Street, Ellaville, Georgia, where Reverend Norris Walters is Pastor. Reverend Alfred Rushin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Union Hill A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
Robert B. Williamson was born April 16, 1936 in Ellaville, Georgia to the late Felix and Mary Williamson. Two siblings, Cora D. Black and Willie James Williamson, also preceded him in death.
In his early years, he was educated in the Schley County Public School System. He joined Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age where he faithfully served as a Deacon. He farmed for the greater part of his life and later was well known for growing sweet potatoes. He was talented and skilled with the use of his hands and a jack of all trades.
Mr. Williamson was united in holy matrimony to Ella Pearl Story Williamson for fifty nine years and their union was blessed with three loving children.
On Monday, June 29, 2015, Mr. Robert Williamson departed this earthly life. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Ella Pearl Williamson, three children: Eddie James Williamson (Gwendolyn), Augusta, GA, Rose Wilhite (Kenneth), Tifton, GA, and Shondria Williamson, Houston, Texas; five devoted grandchildren, Shallon Mims (Sheldon), Bryce Williamson, Breanna Wilhite, Jasmine Wilhite, and Khalil Williamson; ten siblings, Mary Lizzie Beavers, Ellaville, GA, Willie Arthur (Rose) Williamson, Pinetown, NC, Christine Stewart, Ellaville, GA, Eugene (Eddie Mae) Williamson, Americus, GA, Josephine (Samuel) Mercer, Ellaville, GA, Annie Mildred Williamson, Atlanta, GA, Annie Pearl (Rev. Paul) Smith, Phoenix City, AL, Felix (Minnie) Williamson, Jr., Ellaville, GA, Mary Francis Hayes, Americus, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Lee Story, Nashville, TN, Franklin Story (Helen), Atlanta, GA, Irene (E.J.)
