
A wake service will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, Railroad Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Natalie English was born on November 29th of 1961 to the proud parents of Nathaniel English Sr. and Elizabeth English in Brooklyn, New York. “Nat,” as she was affectionately called, was a cheerful, sociable, and delightful young lady who loved to sing in the choir of her church as a teenager and sewing with her girlfriend Kim McDermott.
She was educated in the public school system of New York City where she obtained her high school diploma. Natalie then went on to further her education with degrees from Trade school and DeVry Business school also in New York City.
Nat loved organizing projects, family gatherings, reunions, and barbecues at her home. She loved cooking and being around her family. She was devoted to her parents and worked tirelessly for them up until she passed. Natalie was a warm and caring person. She was a ray of sunshine and had an infectious smile that made a difference in your world.
Natalie began her information technology career in 1982 at American Express. In 1985, she went on to continue her career at Credit Suisse where she was employed for more than 32 years, as a vice president, until she retired in 2015.
Natalie leaves behind her most precious gems: her parents, Elizabeth and Nathaniel English Sr. of Andersonville, Georgia; one sister, June English and a nephew Robert Jones of Brooklyn, New York; one brother Nathaniel Joshua English, Jr., sister-in-law, Andrea English, one niece Laijun English and a second nephew, Nathaniel Joshua English III all of Andersonville, Georgia; her life partner, Joseph Hayes, Daughter Diamond Hayes, and granddaughter Amiyra all of Brooklyn, New York; special cousins the Wiggins family of Brooklyn, New York; special friends, Conalisa Alexander and Paula Williams of Brooklyn, New York; a host of coworkers from Credit Suisse First Boston. and many cherished cousins and friends.
