Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 5827 Ga Highway 26 W, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Please be mindful that we will adhere to all government recommendations and mandates to limit the number of attendees at all services at this time. We are limiting the number of attendees to no more than 10 at the funeral home chapel services and graveside services. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
Mack Arthur Stewart was born May 30, 1959 in Schley County, Georgia to Christine Williamson Stewart and the late Charlie Stewart, Jr. He was educated in the public school system of Schley County and was a 1977 graduate of the historic Tri-County High School of Drainesville Community, Marion County, Georgia. Being reared in a Christian family, Mack joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was serving on the Deacon Board Ministry. He was employed as a civil service worker on the Marine Base of Albany, Georgia. He also enjoyed farming with his family where they specialized in raising sweet potatoes.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Michael Keith Stewart (Ashley), Warner Robins, Georgia, Georgia; mother, Christine W. Stewart, Ellaville, Georgia; six siblings, Charlie (Cara) Stewart, Ellaville, Georgia, Catherine Hamlin, Atlanta, Georgia, Ernestine Smith (James), Ellaville, Georgia, Tony Anthony Stewart (Virginia), Americus, Georgia, Jeffery Stewart, Ellaville, Georgia, and Michael Stewart (Susan), Jacksonville, Florida; a devoted big sister, Sandra Anderson, Plains, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Mary Beavers, Josephine Mercer (Samuel), Ella Pearl Williamson, Minnie Williamson, Annie Mildred Williamson, Annie Pearl Smith (Paul), Mary Francis Hayes, Willie Arthur Williamson (Rose), Annie Mae English, Eugene Williamson (Annie Mae) and Francis Stewart; a devoted nephew, Malcolm Cooper and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
