
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Mt. Salem Baptist Church, 265 Salter Mill Road, Americus, Georgia. Interment services will follow in the church cemetery.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Larenza (Red) Mann was born on July 6, 1978, to the parentage of the late Rev. Freddie Mann Sr. and the late Hattie Bell Mann in Sumter County, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system of Sumter County and was a 1997 graduate of Sumter County Comprehensive High School. He later furthered his education at the Albany Technical College where he graduated with a degree in cosmetology.
At an early age he joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. He was very known in the community for playing the piano and singing. He was the Minister of Music for many churches in South Georgia. His favorite things to do in his spare time were fishing and hanging out with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by three siblings, Melissa Mann Harris, Clarica Mann and Kenneth Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter Jaleisha Mann of Americus, Georgia, one brother Freddie Mann Jr. of Americus, Georgia, his nephew and caregiver: Rev. Mireo J. Harris of Americus, Georgia; aunts and uncles: Mary Hurley, Lassandra Hurley, Ruby Wilson (Tim), Isabell Tyson (Shelly), Robert Johnson, Johnny Sims, David Sims, Jr. (Carolyn), Eva Mann, Dr. Cleveland Mann (Fannie), Rev. William Mann (Doris), Bernice Mann, Ray Mann, Emma Sims Clay (Terry), all of Americus, Georgia, Mattie Wright (Alfred) of Albany, Georgia; and Willis Mann (Ruby) of Atlanta, Georgia; Brother and sister-in- law: Ron Harris and Marilyn Johnson. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
