Katie Hamilton, age 92, passed October 16, 2024.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Rostrum of Eastview Cemetery, Ashby Street, Americus Georgia.
Katie was born January 7, 1932, in Plains, Sumter County, Georgia to the late Claude Hamilton and Mamie Lou Hill Hamilton. She attended the public school system of Sumter County where she completed the eighth grade.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are a beloved son, James Hawkins, Warner Robins, Georgia; She was preceded in death by: Claude C. Hamilton Jr, Sammie Lee Hamilton, Bobby Lee Hamilton, Kurley Hamilton, Jessie B. Bryant, Ethelrene Hamilton, Ella Lou Ashberry, Emma Lee Gary, and Ozie Mae Walton. Three devoted nieces, Deloris Hamilton, Verna Thomas and Etherine Fedderick. Great-Great niece Jennifer Fedderick-Bryant.
