Mr. Jim Luckie, age 62, 113 Blacksmith Road, Desoto, Georgia passed Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Atlanta Medical Center, Atlanta, Georgia.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Antioch Baptist Church, Chokee Road, Desoto, Georgia. Interment will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
Jim was born December 27, 1950 to the late Sam Albert Luckie, Sr. and Leila Mae Luckie in Forest Home, Alabama. At the age of 7, he joined Rock West Baptist Church. Later in life, he joined Jackson Grove Baptist Church in Desoto, Georgia. He was a hard working, caring, giving, and compassionate man. Jim moved to Miami, Florida as an adult where he worked as a gas line technician for People Gas Company. He was united in Holy matrimony to the late Annie Grace Mills Luckie.
Jim Luckie is survived by his brothers, Sam Luckie, Jr. (Doris), Hampton, Georgia, R. D Luckie, Brunswick, Georgia, Leon Dean, Los Angeles, California, Ernest Dean (Jeanetta), Many, Louisiana, Marvin Dean (Deborah), Pensacola, Florida, Tony Dean, Atlanta, Georgia, Joe Daniel Dean, Pensacola, Florida; Sisters, Eula Rivers (Charles), Pensacola, Florida, Sandra Ware (Erskine), Pensacola, Florida, Diane Kitt (Frank), Pensacola, Florida; brother-in-law, A. J. Mills; uncles/aunts, Nelson Crenshaw (Helen Gene), Greenville, Alabama, Bama Crenshaw, Las Vegas, Nevada, Beatrice Crenshaw, Mobile, Alabama, Ora Lee, Pensacola, Florida; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
