
The funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 28, 2015 at Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, Phelps Plantation, Butler, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
Jeremiah Rockamore was born May 24, 1934 to the late Azalean Smith Campbell and Frank Rockamore. A native of Taylor County, he was educated in the public schools of Taylor County. Four siblings, Dollie C. Griffin, Alice Lockhart, J.C. Rockamore, and Daisy Phillips, preceded him in death. He was a self-employed logger as well as a man with many talents. He had a strong love for family. He had a love for the outdoors and his hobby was gardening. He was united in holy matrimony to Carnell Mangram Rockamore in January 1955.
Jeremiah departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. He has left a warm impression in the hearts of those he left behind. Two children preceded him in death, SGT Earnest Rockamore, and Katie Mae Rockamore. In passing, he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to his beloved wife of 60 years, Carnell Mangram Rockamore, Montezuma, Georgia; six children, Larry Rockamore (Gloria), Diana Rockamore, Montezuma, Georgia, Jerry Rockamore (Jean), Henry Rockamore (Joann), Patricia Adkins (Richard), Valdosta, Georgia, and Lynda Rockamore of Macon, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Mizell Banks and Sandra Banks (Willie), Chicago, Ill; and three brothers-in-law, Ronnie Mangram (Gail) and Freddie Mangram, Macon, Georgia and Bobby Patterson, Montezuma, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
