The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 20, 2015, Zion Hill Baptist Church, 260 West Allen Street, Leslie, Georgia, where Reverend W. James Hill is pastor. The Reverend Anthony Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at Staley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Corner of Mayo and Souther Field Road, Americus, Georgia.
Jeffery was born on January 12, 1972 to Ossie Jones Bishop and Earnest Mercer in Leslie, Georgia. He was a 1991 graduate of Sumter County Comprehensive High School. He received his degree in Automotive in 1993 from Southwest Technical College, Americus, Georgia. He matriculated at Georgia Southwestern University pursuing a degree in Psychology. He joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Elijah Williams.
He is survived by five devoted children, Iesha Wright, UGA, Athens, Georgia, Jeffery Wright, Jr. (Keidra), Fort Stewart, Georgia, Angelica Kimbourgh, Cy’Isha Wright, Albany Technical College, Albany, Georgia, Jei’Querria Wright, Albany, Georgia; parents, Ossie J. Bishop, Leslie, Georgia, Earnest Mercer (Anna Clara), Desoto, Georgia; grandmother, Emma Mae Jones, Leslie, Georgia; siblings, Vivian Wilson, Leslie, Georgia, Gwendolyn (Rev.
