A beautiful soul has left this world, but her spirit now glows brightly in Heaven. Born on March 4, 1946, to the late Willie Small and Claudia Bell Pitts Small, she was united in marriage to the late Jule Sales. From their union, they were blessed with five children. Jeannette led by example, instilling in her children the importance of faith in Christ, the value of education, and the advantage of hard work, living out these principles through her actions more than her words. Jeannette's passion was her flowers, she loved making arts and crafts. "Mother didn’t have to tell us she loved us, we knew it by the time and patience she put it in the crafts, she made for each one of us."
Jeannette joined Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen Road, Mauk, Georgia at an early age, where she was a life-long, faithful member. Jeannette passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Willie Small and Claudia Bell Pitts Small, one son: Jule Cornelious Sales, one grandson Kelvin Reeves and ten siblings: William Clarence Pittman, Helen Small, Charlie B. Small, Milton Small, Ola Mae Small, Fanniel Small, Mary Frances Searcy, Wilbert Small, Charlie Joe Small and Annie Gorman.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving companion: William Cruz; five children: Bernice Sales (Larry), Julie Sales, Anthony Sales, and Earnestine Small. Six grandchildren, Kendrick Reeves, Kristina Smith, Keith Reeves, Shamanice Floyd, Catrina Smith and Quintavius Clark. Seventeen great grandchildren, two special friends: Thelma Hollis and Brenda Porter and very devoted nephew Gilbert Small and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
