My condolences in the loss of your dear loved one. Since it was not God's original purpose for humans to die ( Genesis 1:28), he hates death and views it as an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26). Our heavenly father Jehovah has a yearning to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of a resurrection ( John 5:28,29). He longs to bring back those who are in his memory to see them live on the earth again (Job 14:14,15). So until that time, he offers us comfort from his word the Bible. Psalm 34:18 says: Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. And Isaiah 25:8; He (God) will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe the tears from all faces. May these scriptures help you to cope with the grief and sadness now and in the future.
