Eva Lou Lester Green

Mrs. Eva Lou Lester Green,  age 80, 212 Ivy Street, Montezuma, Georgia passed Friday, January 30, 2015.
 
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Drayton Road, Byromville, Dooly County, Georgia.  The Reverend Governor Gibson, pastor, will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
 
Mrs. Eva Lou Lester Green was born July 23, 1934 in Byromville, Dooly County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Fred Lester and Willie Maude Rackley Lester. At an early age, she joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she served every facet of the church diligently.  She worked faithfully on the Usher Board Ministry, Choir Member, and the Mother of the Church.   She was member of the George Winter Fellowship Choir of Dooly County.  She was educated in the public school system of Dooly County.   After many dedicated years of service, she retired from Southern Frozen Foods, Inc., Allens Company, and the United Methodist Church of Montezuma, Georgia. 

In 1951, she was united in Holy matrimony to the late Gilbert Green, Jr.  She was preceded in death by one God Given Son, Romauldize Lester; four siblings preceded her in death, Freddie Mae Trice, Albert Lester, James Lester and Arthur Lester.
 
Left to cherish her memories are her God Given Children, Alana Lester, Kiara Lester,  Jerramiyan Joiner and Alberta Ray; her siblings, Betty Jean Waddell, Montezuma, Georgia, Ezell Lester, Roosevelt Lester (Delorius), all of Tampa, Florida, Johnny B. Lester (Betty), Decatur, Georgia, Evelyn Miller (Bob), and Annie Lester, all of Montezuma, Georgia; her aunts, Leila Lester, Tampa, Florida, Bertha Lee Hamilton, Tampa, Florida, Maggie Lean Fudge, Montezuma, Georgia, Lena Redding, Danny Walters, Green Walters, Jr. Little Lloyd Walters and Anthony Walters, all of Akron, Ohio; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Hello, I am so sorry to hear about your lost. I only knew her for a short brief time. She was a kind, sweet and a loving person. She loved all her siblings especially Alana. My prayers is extended to all who grieve her passing.

I have known Ms. Shugg for many years from childhood up. She and my mother were great friends and neighbor. Ms. Shugg wad a great cook n would always have something for us whenever we visited her. She truly will be missed. May ee cherish the fond memories. To the family, we love and are praying the Lord will comfort you during this time.
