The graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Rocky Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Concord Road, Ellaville, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Douglas Adam Howard was born on February 18, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Curly Howard and the late Mary Jane Moore Howard and to this union two children were born. Douglas was the youngest of the two. He was preceded in death two step siblings, Mitchell and Mary, and a stepdaughter, Selena A. Green. Douglas attended the John Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Georgia in the early 1990’s. He was married to the former Martha A. Johnson and to his union one lovely daughter was born Sebrena Ann Howard.
He was a member of Tabernacle of Faith Church in Ellaville, Georgia. Douglas was a family man. He loved traveling, fishing, driving 18 wheelers, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
On Sunday April 30, 2023, The Lord called his son home. He leaves behind a great legacy one beautiful daughter Sebrena Ann Howard, three grandchildren, Kaniya, Jaylen and Braylen; one sister, Velma P. Howard; stepfather, Bennie Smith; stepsister, Cora Pearl; six aunts and uncles, George Moore (Bernice), Clara Harvey, Dennis Moore (Albena), I John (Sandra) Myra Moore and Virga Moore; aunt in law, Louise; a nephew, Samuel White Jr.; a devoted cousin Dwayne Black; a devoted friend Joe Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
