Douglas Edward Harris, affectionately known as "Duck," passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 66, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Macon County, Georgia, Duck was cherished by all who knew him.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 110 Johnson Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Interment will follow at the Davis Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 26, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels.
