Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Donnie was born on January 13, 1960, in Macon County, Georgia, to the late Johnny Kleckley and Eva Haugabook Kleckley. He is also preceded in death by his sister Carla Kleckley.
Donnie was educated in Macon County school system. He was a graduate of the historic D.F. Douglass High School in 1978. He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1982. He was employed with Macon County's local grocery stores until he became ill. He was known for his kindness and quiet personality. In his spare time Donnie enjoyed watching sports, and spending time with family.
Donnie was loved and will be missed by many. He leaves fond memories in the hearts of his family: sister, Linda Kleckley Hankerson of Oglethorpe, Georgia, brother, Tommy Kleckley (Ruby) of Oglethorpe, Georgia, sister, Jeshanah Kleckley of Americus, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Harold Hankerson Jr. (Lazetta) of Marietta, Georgia, Stacey Hankerson of Fort Valley, Georgia, Candace Kleckley of Oglethorpe, Georgia; great nieces and nephews, Simone Hankerson, Timberly Mathis, Hailey Hankerson, Harold Hankerson III "Trey), and Timothy D. Mathis "TJ".
A loving extended family: Betty Mathis of Ellenwood, Georgia; Marianne Curry (Russell) of Stockbridge, Georgia; Clara McKenzie of Montezuma, Georgia; Doris Haugabook of Marshallville, Georgia, and Jerome Haugabook of Atlanta, Georgia. A host of cousins, friends, and a worldwide spiritual family.
