You will be truly missed. I’m so sorry I was a disappointment to you for not going on the cruise. Only if I knew time was not on our side I definitely would have taken that last trip with you and Aunt Tracy. May our blessings go out to your family and friends.

There is such a void that has been left with the passing of Charlie. Sorrow has been imposed on our community. So many times in the past, so many people have been able to look to Charlie for guidance, wisdom, a joke, or well-intended criticism. Sadly, we are missing that presence. We are missing his effervescent approach to the most daunting of days. His honesty and guidance, and even his short temper. The comfort of his welcoming smile and infectious laugh are gone.
Countless co-workers became Charlie's "boys" and he looked after them, he looked after US, and cared deeply for us. His disposition was one that was inviting and made you want to be his friend. You knew that he would do right by you, even at your worst, and you wanted to do right by him.

Charlie was a friend to so many. We've been left without our friend and the words to properly mourn and celebrate him. Even now, I struggle to get over my sadness and bid farewell.
Rest in peace, Charlie.

Been knowing him all my life. He use to come to Fred's Auto Repair to hang out with all of us. I worked with sister Regina at Davidson Rubber Co. Go rest high on the Mountain my friend. R.I.P. Charlie!
