Charlene Hopkins, age 71, passed on January 25, 2021.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Charlene Hopkins was born December 19, 1948 to the late Fannie Owens’s and “Doc” Black. She is also preceded in death by three sisters Leola Thomas, Cleola Owens, and Minnie Reviere. She attended school in Ellaville, Ga at John Lewis High. She later attended Technical School.
Charlene enjoyed life; she was loved by many with her effortless smile and outgoing personality. She enjoyed a long tenured career with the Census Bureau. She also loved taking care of others as she worked several years in the nursing field. Her love of gardening, harvest, and landscape made her home very inviting as she knew how to create beauty.
Charlene leaves behind her son and daughter, Jarvis and Yolanda Mason; two granddaughters Chamia Thomas and Rashaadia Sutton; one great grandson Khalon Carter; one sister Janice Northern; two brothers Samuel Owens and Bogan Mason; and a host of family and friends.
