
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at First Salem Baptist Church, 191 Twin Churches Road, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, James Road, Montezuma, Georgia.
Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.
Bennie Cordell Duncan Jr. was born on November 22, 1959, to the late Mrs. Carrie E. Lewis and Mr. Bennie C. Duncan, Sr. He passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 64. Bennie led a fulfilling life marked by his dedication to his family and various professional pursuits.
Bennie graduated from D.F. Douglas High School before furthering his education at South Georgia Technical College in the Electrical Technology Program. His career spanned several companies including Mulco, Southern Frozen Food, and most recently International Paper, under Austin Industrial. He had a successful career and made lifelong friends.
Bennie was an avid collector of cars, music, and antiques, and was known as a jack of all trades. He was a devout member of Union Baptist Church in Montezuma, GA, where he participated actively in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie E. Lewis Duncan and Bennie C Duncan, Sr, paternal grandparents Johnnie Mae and Edmund Duncan, and maternal grandparents, Carrie Boykins and William Lewis.
Bennie married Barbara Ann Washington in 1987 and was blessed with 36 years of marriage.

Mother-in-law and Father-in-law: Mary Hayes Washington (Edras).
