Ben King, Sr., age 52, 1010 Union Street, Vienna, Georgia passed Monday, August 10, 2015.
 
The funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Quebec Baptist Church, 3931 Georgia Highway 26 West, Ellaville, Georgia.  The Reverend Clinton Aldridge, pastor, will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Road, Ellaville, Georgia.

Ben King, Sr. was born June 13, 1963 in Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia to the late James “Flat” King and Katherine Minter King.  He was educated in the public school system of Ellaville, Schley County, Georgia. He was a 1982 graduate of Tri-County High School.  He acquired his Christian training at Quebec Baptist Church.

During his early childhood, he joined the band of Christian believers at Quebec Baptist Church.  After his completion of high school, Ben was employed with Tyson Food, Inc of Vienna, Georgia for several years and then at River West Farms as a foreman for 16 years. Later in life, he was employed with Blue Bird of Fort Valley, Georgia.

On June 8, 2002, Ben was joined in holy matrimony to the former Mary Martin.  Ben was blessed to be the father of six children.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mary Martin King, Vienna, Georgia; children, Eric T. Martin, Vienna, Georgia, Cory Martin, Cordele, Georgia, Eric L. Martin, Vienna, Georgia, Ben King, Jr., Vienna, Georgia, Tiesha King Haynes (Winston), Vienna, Georgia and Jessica McLendon, Montezuma, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; siblings, David King, Ellaville, Georgia, Ronnie King (Vivian), Vienna, Georgia, Tony King, Jacksonville, Florida, Linda  King, Viola King, Lisa King, Diane King, all of Americus, Georgia, and Gail King, Atlanta, Georgia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph Martin (Emma), Vienna, Georgia, Willie James Davis (Fran), Saint Petersburg, Florida, and Betty Davis, Lilly, Georgia; uncles and aunts, Albert Minter, Michael Minter, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Kate Solomon, Brooklyn, New York and Myrtice McClendon, Brooklyn, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arthtricia Yolanda Franklin Barker, age 38, 602 Old Buena Vista Road, Ellaville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.

The wake service will be conducted from 7:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Nazarene Church of God in Christ, 2086 Pineville Road, Buena Vista, Georgia, where Elder Larry Franklin, Jr. is pastor. Elder Jacob Franklin, Sr., pastor of New Life Christian Ministries, will officiate. Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Baptist Church cemetery, 1908 Dozier Road, Ellaville, Georgia.

Arthtricia was born January 18, 1977 in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia to Louvenia Wardlaw Franklin and Arthur Franklin, Sr. She was educated in the public school system of Marion County and was a 1995 graduate of Tri-County High School of the Draneville Community. She was a 2010 graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught school at Southwest Georgia Head Start in Americus, Georgia.

Arthtricia accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined the band of Christian believers at Shelton Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder Charlie Kelley. In 2010, she joined New Life Christian Ministries where she was youth leader of the NLCM Youth Department. She was united in holy matrimony to Lamar Torell Barker on July 8, 1996. To this union, they were blessed with five children: Kaleb, Asia, Fabian, Jamauri and Gavin, all of Ellaville, Georgia. She was a member of the Georgia Teachers Association.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, children, and parents, include five siblings, Hope Sewer (Gerald), Columbus, Georgia, Don Wardlaw (Ebony), Logansville, Georgia, Arthur Franklin, Jr. (Tieca), Leesburg, Georgia, Jacob Franklin, Sr. (Demetrica), Columbus, Georgia, Gervelle Franklin, Buena Vista, Georgia; mother-in-law, Nina Smith, Ellaville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Tameka Hollis, Ellaville, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Carl Wardlaw, Jr. (Mae), Vidalia, Georgia, Mae Ella Washington, Lyons, Georgia, Judy Whitfield, Hazlehurst, Georgia, Mary Mills (Robert), Lyons, Georgia, Corine Lewis (James), Lyons, Georgia, Patricia Mobley, Hinesville, Georgia, Elizabeth Jones, Edward Greene (Mae Pearl), Ulysses Franklin, Jessie Franklin (Joyce), Essie Franklin, all of Buena Vista, Georgia, Randy Hollis (Pat), Americus, Georgia, Steve Hollis, Ellaville, Georgia, Becky DeLaney (Ben), Warner Robins, Georgia, Vanessa Hollis, Ellaville, Georgia, Ted Hollis (Sandra), Americus, Georgia, Kirk Hollis (Michelle), Albany, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a devoted niece, Sharnelle Sewer, Columbus, Georgia, and devoted friends, Jackie Edmonds of Buena Vista, Georgia, Joyce Carter, and Brooke Kelly, both of Americus, Georgia.

Lamar Wiggins, age 38, 543 Tarrer Street, Ideal, Georgia passed Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Faith Memorial C.M.E. Church, Brooks Road, Ideal, Georgia.  Interment will follow in Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Georgia Highway 26, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Lamar was born September 23, 1976 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to Fannie Bell Wiggins and the late J.C. Davis.  He was educated in the public school system of Macon County.  After his health began to fail, he retired as a farmer by trade.

Survivors are his parents, Fannie Bell Wiggins (Thomas Hart), Ideal, Georgia; daughter, Shanta Denise Wiggins, Americus, Georgia; grandson, Zayshen Wiggins, Americus, Georgia; sister, Fannie Mae Wiggins, Americus, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Mary Lizzie Wiggins, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Rosetta Riley, Ideal, Georgia, Mary Lois Wiggins, Montezuma, Georgia, Irene Davis (Willie Lee), Montezuma, Georgia, Mae Florence Wiggins, Ideal, Georgia, Betty Jean Wiggins, Montezuma, Georgia, Mary Davis, Butler, Georgia, and Almarie Davis, Atlanta, Georgia; several nieces and nephews, Demore Chandler, Elijah Chandler, Isaiah Chandler, and Malaila Chandler; a host of other relatives, and friends.

SSG Calvin Fulks, age 59, 615 King Avenue, Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Rockingham, North Carolina.

Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Lebanon Cemetery, 255 Travelers Home Church Road, Ideal, Georgia with full military honors.  The Reverend David Thomas, pastor of Shady Grove Baptist Church Ideal, Georgia, will officiate.
 
SSG Calvin Fulks was born January 2, 1956 to Louise Gaines Pettway and the late Clarence Fulks, Jr. in Ideal, Macon County, Georgia.  He was a 1973 graduate of Lincoln High School in Newark, New Jersey.  Calvin served in the U S Army for thirty dedicated years.  After retiring from the military, Calvin worked 17.5 years at Morrison Correctional Facility.

Those left to cherish his fond and loving memories are his wife, Fontilla Fulks, two daughters, Tanikia Griffin and Christie Fulks, loving mother, Louise Pettway;  devoted sister, Patricia Fulks; a devoted aunt, Iona Mitchell; other relatives and friends.

Mason John-Ira Ross, the infant son of H. Melissa Barnes Ross and Marcus D. Ross, Sr. will be committed to the earth on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Colonel Felton Cemetery, Marshallville, Georgia. Reverend Hosie Waters will officiate.

Other survivors include his sister Kennedy A. Ross, twin sister McKensie Mary-Helen Ross,  his brother Marcus D. Ross Jr.; maternal grandparents, Helen F. Barnes and Stanley F. Brown; his paternal grandmother, Mary L. Ross; great grandmothers, Mary-Helen Folmar and Louise Rumph; a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives.
