Harold Bernard Turner, age 50, passed on March 13, 2023, at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Whitewater Road, Ideal, Georgia. Burial will follow with military honors at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Harold was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia to Velma Jean Clark and the late Harold Lee Turner. He was educated in the public school system of Macon County and was a 1991 graduate of Macon County High School. Following high school he attended Middle Georgia Military College where he played basketball. On February 3, 1994 he entered into the United States Army were he served his country proudly for over 20 years before he retired. He received numerous awards, medals, badges, campaign ribbons including the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, South West Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Global War Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and numerous others. Harold also served tours of duty in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He leaves to cherish his memories to his daughter, Dextiny L. Turner, California; a beloved mother Velma Jean Clark (Dallas Lumpkin Jr.), Oglethorpe, Georgia; three siblings Ernest Clark (Hannah), North Carolina, Evita Harp (Lewis Clay), Albany, Georgia, Rodney Lumpkin (Ladafrica), Albany, Georgia; nephews and nieces, Kelvin Clark, Kelly Clark, Jasmine Clark, Eliana Clay, Madelyn Lumpkin, Raelyn Porter; aunts and uncles, Myrtice Mallard, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Mary Pope (Brain) Atlanta, Georgia, Zona Riley (James), Montezuma, Georgia; a host of loving cousins and friends including friends Terrance Hankerson, James Frederick Hankerson Jr., Charlie and Malissa Jordan and Mr. and Mrs. Ponder. |

Theodora Woolfork-Tookes was born June 5, 1955 in Montezuma, Georgia of Macon County to the late Elder Anthony Woolfork Sr. and Mother Anna Whitehead Woolfork. She was preceded in death by one sibling, Anthony Woolfork Jr. At an early age, she joined the Shade Arnold Baptist Church. She later became a member of New Vision Tabernacle where she served on the Missionary Board where her father, Elder Anthony Woolfork Sr. was pastor. Theodora was a 1973 graduate of D.F. Douglas High School. She went on to further her education in Atlanta, Georgia where she received a certificate in Culinary Arts. Theodora was employed for several years at Fort Valley State University Headstart. Theodora’s greatest achievements in life was giving birth to her two lovely sons. Antonio Hunter is from her loving relationship with Anthony Hunter of East Point, Georgia. Theodora’s heart was later captured by the one and only late Wilbert Tookes of Oglethorpe, Georgia. They were united in holy matrimony, and to this union they were blessed with one child, Ashton Tookes. Theodora was crowned Miss Fairburn Queen by PruittHealth-Fairburn in 2019, and she continued to hold that crown until the Angels called her name. It was then that she traded her natural crown for her Heavenly crown. On Friday, March 10, 2023, Theodora Woolfork-Tookes departed her earthly life for an eternal life. Survivors are her loving sons, Antonio Hunter, Warner Robins, Georgia and Ashton Tookes (Regina), Gainesville, Florida. Mark Curtis Clark, age 58, passed on March 12, 2023. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Andersonville National Cemetery Rostrum, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, Georgia. Mark Curtis Clark, was born December 29, 1964 to his beloved parents James Melvin Black and the late Idella Clark in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia. Mark proved to be a smart young man - always an “A” student from kindergarten through the twelfth grade. Being that he was interested in traveling, he first joined the Army National Guard of Georgia whereas he accomplished much. While serving his time in the National Guard, his accomplishments includes his rank Private First Class, served in Company B (-DET 1), 560 Engineer Battalion which completed his service duty the 8th of September 1983. Mark was interested in giving to his country, therefore he enlisted into the United States Navy in October 1987 whereas he entered into the field of Medicine. His accomplishments were many. His command was transferred as primary specialty: HM-8404 Medical Field Technician, 0SYRS/02MOS, HM-8452-Advanced x-ray Technical 8452-YRS/09mos, and HM-8451-Basic x-ray Technician Military Education: Hospital Corpsman Class “A” School, 88 Mar/Basic X-Ray Technician School, Advance x-Ray Technician School and Field Medical Service School. His Decorations, Medals, Badges, Citations and campaign ribbons awarded include: National Defense Service Medal/Sea Service Deployment Ribbon/Navy Expeditionary Medal Battle “E” Ribbon/Good Conduct Medal (2). His last tour of duty was served NAVHEDGEN, Ports, Virginia and after nine years he was honorably discharged from active duty June 1996 at PERSUPPDET, Ports, Virginia. In the arms of an angel, Baby Naomi Dior Mathis rested on February 25, 2023. The graveside service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 12:00 o’clock noon at Lebanon Cemetery, Travelers Home Church Road, Ideal, Georgia. She was the granddaughter of Samuel Mathis and Linda Perkins Mathis and also the maternal granddaughter of Courtney Williams and Shamica Williams.
