June Baldwin

June Clyde Baldwin, age 57, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Mt. Pleasant/Travelers Rest C.M.E. Church, 315 Norris Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Reverend Alfred Wynn will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

June was born May 20, 1954 in Montezuma, Macon County, Georgia to the late Dan B. Clark and Sarah Baldwin. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Constance Clark, Dan Clark and Virginia Harris. At an early age, she joined Mt. Pleasant / Travelers Rest CME Church. She was a 1972 graduate of D. F. Douglass High School. She served on the D. F. Douglass High School Class of 1972 Class Reunion Committee. She furthered her education at South Georgia Technical College, where she majored in Business Education. She was employed as a production worker with Allens of Montezuma, Georgia.

Survivors are one daughter, LaSonya Larry, Oglethorpe, Georgia; eleven siblings, Constance Baldwin, Montezuma, Georgia, Pebbles Baldwin, Ideal, Georgia, a beloved sister and caretaker, Emma Forbes, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Mary Clark, Buffalo, New York, Carolyn Mallard (Freddy), Betty Bailey (Ronnie), all of Montezuma, Georgia, Murrell Harris (Willie James), Oglethorpe, Georgia, Dan B. Clark, Jacquelyn Clark, Manuel Clark, all of Montezuma, Georgia and Daniel Clark, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; brother-in-law, Larry Jones, White Plains, New York; Uncle, M. C. Baldwin (Irma), Neptune, New Jersey; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including several devoted friends, George Larry, Jeremey Larry, Juanita Coates, Brenda Warren, Malcena Howard and Annette Simons.

Deacon Lynn Bell Little

Deacon Lynn Bell Little, age 75, passed Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center, Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Monday, March 5, 2012 at Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellaville, Georgia.

Deacon Lynn Bell “Pat” Little was born January 18, 1937 to the late Mr. Willie B. Little and Daisy Terry Little in Schley County, Georgia. Two siblings, Neather Lee Williams and Willie B. Little, Jr., preceded him in death. At an early age, he joined William Grove Baptist Church. He was educated in the public school system of Schley County, Georgia. After several years of dedicated service, he retired from Shiver Lumber Company as a truck driver.

In 1965, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Olue Lee Carter Little. To this union, they were blessed with five children.

He leaves a legacy of love to his beloved family, including five devoted children, Daisy Blakely (Roger Daniel, Jr.), Brenda Day (Roderick), Mary Alice Grover (Leonard), Patricia Baisden, all of Americus, Georgia, and David Little, Tacoma, Washington; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a devoted friend, Lucy Carter, Americus, Georgia; his siblings, Elizabeth Harris (Ernest, Jr.), Miami, Florida, Willie Ruth Weems, Mary Jane Ennals, both of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, including a devoted cousin, Cecil Horne, and friends, including a devoted friend, David Harris.

Albert Thomas, III

Mr. Albert Thomas III, age 61, 3395 Estate Lake Drive, Fairburn, Georgia passed Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Hospice Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Shade Arnold Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 26 East, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow in Shade Arnold Church Cemetery.

Mr. Albert Thomas, III was born March 9, 1950 to the late Albert and Victoria Thomas in Macon County, Montezuma, Georgia. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eloise Thomas Hudson. After graduating from the D. F. Douglass High School with the class of 1968, he attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and joined the band of Christian believers at Shade Arnold Baptist Church. He was employed by E & R Transmissions. After many dedicated years of service, he retired as an Auto Service Rep.

He was affectionately called “Pa” by his family and friends.

Survivors include two loving daughters, Stephanie Wells, Atlanta, Georgia, and Kia Thomas, Forsyth, Georgia; two grandchildren, Rodrequs Wells, & Dannisha Milline, Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Samuel James Thomas (Annie), Montezuma, Georgia; aunts; Alean Burnam, and Alice McKenzie, Montezuma, Georgia, Johnnie Mae McKenzie, and Evangelist Mona McKenzie both of New Britain, Connecticut; brother-in-law, Ernest Hudson, Detroit, Michigan; nieces & nephews, Terry Thomas (Veronica), Vonda Moore (Joe), Darlene Whitehead (Amos), Romarian Hudson; Bernette McKenzie (Dexter), Terrance Hudson, Tyisha Hudson; devoted cousin, Charles Thomas (Ila), Lawrenceville, Georgia; a host of great nieces, nephews other relatives including devoted friends, Henry Joe Johnson (Ann), Fairburn, Georgia, Sam Johnson, Decatur, Georgia and Robin Phillips (Becky), both of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
