Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Josh Gibson Center, 20 Gibson Way, Buena Vista, Georgia. Burial will follow at the Union Hill A.M.E Church cemetery, Spivey Street, Ellaville, Georgia.

Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. ​Celessie Hillmon, age 83, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed January 17, 2025, at the Montezuma Health Care, Montezuma, Georgia. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc., 607 Kaigler Street, Oglethorpe, Georgia.  Burial will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. Celessie was born November 16, 1941, to the late Charlie George Hillmon and the late Hattie Ellis Hillmon in Macon County Georgia. Celessie was educated at the Georgia School for the Deaf of Cave Spring, Georgia.  She went on to graduate in the field of nursing and was later hired by the Flint River Hospital under the administration of the late Doctor Carl Savage for some forty years. After retiring, Celessie and her sister Shirley lived together, and Shirley soon became her caregiver until her demise.

Celessie was preceded in death by her parents and six adult siblings which include Mary Ann Hillmon Floyd, James Hillmon, Marvin Hillmon, John Hillmon, Johnny C. Hillmon and Rene H. Johnson and her sister-in-law, Margaret Hillmon.

She leaves to cherish her legacy, ten siblings, Gloria Hillmon Bennett, Rego Park, New York, Georgia Ann Hillmon, Gladys Hillmon of Atlanta, Georgia, Shirley Sue Hillmon, Oglethorpe, Georgia, Larry Hillmon (Betty Ann), Ideal, Georgia, Terry Hillmon (Barbara) Macon, Georgia, Eddie Hillman, Oglethorpe, Georgia, John Robert Hillmon, Johnny C. Hillmon and Rene Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bonny Lee Hunter, Jr., age 56, of Montezuma, Georgia passed on January 13, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Magnolia Baptist Church, 415 Hosie Waters Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 26, Montezuma, Georgia.

Bonny Lee Hunter, Jr. was born October 5, 1968, to the late Jessie Mae Cromer Hunter and Bonny Lee Hunter, Sr. of Orlando, Florida. He was a high school graduate of the historical D.F. Douglass High School and South Georgia Technical College of Americus, Georgia where he majored in Aircraft Structural Technology. He was an avid football and softball player.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Mae Cromer Hunter. 

He was a former employee of Blue Bird Body Company, Inc. of Fort Valley, Georgia and an active member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. 

He leaves to cherish his many memories to his wife: Pamela Gail Tucker of Dublin, Georgia, His six children, Jessica I. Tucker, Jordyn Bonet Hunter, J’Leeya Emyia Hunter, Jonathan Wilson Hunter all of Dublin, Georgia, Iyanni Lenae Hunter of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Jaquavis J. Franklin, Montezuma, Georgia, His father Bonny Lee Hunter, Sr. of Orlando, Florida, His grandchildren: Milano Smith (Iyanni), Romero Redding and Raquel Redding (Jessica). Two sisters: Julie Worley of Americus, Georgia and Chelsea Hollinger of Atlanta, Georgia, A devoted friend: Jeffery Haugabook (Shurvon) of Warner Robins, Georgia, His aunt: Joyce Hurston, LaGrange, Georgia, His mother-in-law: Jenell P. Ficklin of Dublin, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends including his Blue Bird and Magnolia Baptist Church families.

Annie was born September 16, 1957, in Buena Vista, Marion County, Georgia to the late Joseph Walker, Sr. and Nelmile Burton Walker. She acquired her education in the local school system of Sumter County, Plains High School. She was a faithful member of the New Bethel Baptist Church of Buena Vista, Georgia. 

She was preceded in death by a sibling: C.W. Burton.

She leaves to cherish her many memories to her four children: Eddie Walker, Felicia Walker, Lakeisha Walker and Shantae Walker all of Americus, Georgia, Six grandchildren: Qatravious Walker, Felicity Walker, Timisha Walker, Maison Brown, Kameron Brown, and Ja’meir Walker Great Grands: Kaylani Young and Armani Walker. Her five siblings: Pauline Johnson and Eugene Walker both of Warner Robins, Georgia, Hattie Mae Walker, Jennie Mae Walker and Joseph Walker, Jr. all of Americus, GA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends including Teresa Denmark.

Carlos Watts and Tammy Frederick Watts welcomed Carlos into the world on May 9, 1987, in Americus, Georgia. He graduated from Americus-Sumter High School in 2005. He continued his studies as a criminal justice graduate, with a certification in business administration, and is currently pursuing a nursing degree at South Georgia Technical College in Americus, GA.

He leaves to cherish his many memories to his loving parents: Carlos Watts (Barbara) and Tammy Frederick Watts of Americus, Georgia, Six siblings: Deundra Frederick (Kenny), Warner Robins, Georgia; Tiana Girven (Altonious), of Duluth, Georgia; Anthony Thomas, Atlanta, Georgia, Antrivous McCoy, Americus, Georgia, Caterah Watts, Leesburg, Georgia, Chaston Watts, Valdosta, Georgia; a beloved grandmother, Ann Frederick, Americus, Georgia; Aunts and uncles: Lewis Timothy Frederick, Gregory Frederick, Keith Frederick (Pam), Eric Hughey, Aldean Brooks, Cathy Carter (Johnny), Andre Bailey, Aldean Clark (Sakema), Eric Brooks (Sierra), Adrian Brooks (Janice), Barbra Watts Walker, Naomi Hooper (Glen), Sally Hartage (Bobby) and Erica Watts.
