The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Word In Season Ministries, 1520 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, Georgia. Interment will follow at the Willow Lake Memorial Gardens, Willow Lake Road, Fort Valley Georgia.

Graveside services, including burials, are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such a high, thin heels. Please be advised that Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. will not be held responsible for injuries at a grave site because of this.

On August 25, 1948, Anna--better known to her loved ones and friends as "Rita" --was born to the late Oscar Williams Sr. and Myrties Ragin Watson Parker (Fred) in Fort Valley, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Nathaniel Ashmon Sr., and two siblings: Doris Marshall and Oscar Williams Jr.

Anna acquired her education in the public school system of Peach County, where she attended H.A. Hunt High School and graduated in 1967. After completing high school, she began her career at Robins Air Force Base. Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. On the 3rd of May, 1970, Anna was united in holy matrimony to Nathaniel Ashmon, and to this union they were blessed with six children, twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Their love was based on teaching values of kindness, integrity, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother whose warm smile and gentle spirit uplifted everyone she met.

Anna's career began as a Logistics Inspector at Robins Air Force Base (RAFB). After several years at RAFB, she dedicated her life to being a homemaker. When all six children became of age, she decided to return to the workforce, spending time in various jobs at Southern Frozen Food, Tyson, and Gold King. Anna's love and passion for cooking led her to become a nutritionist at Fort Valley State University, where she later retired in 2013. Anna's work never stopped; she devoted her time and efforts to the surrounding communities by visiting former classmates, co-workers, the elderly, family, and friends. During her time of service, she also ministered to everyone she encountered.

Anna accepted Christ at the age of 14 at Jackson Temple Holiness Church. From that young age, she remained saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost throughout her life. Her life was a testimony of grace and faithfulness. She was a faithful member of Deliverance Revival of Newnan, Georgia; Jackson Temple of Macon, Georgia; and First Deliverance Holiness Church of Tifton, Georgia. She also served as a church mother at Light of the World Holiness Church of Macon, Georgia; House of God Miracle Temple of Ideal, Georgia; James Temple Miracle Center of Fort Valley, Georgia; and Word in Season Ministries of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-3, says: "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;" On the 2nd day of December 2025, Mother Anna Marie Watson Ashmon was called home to glory, where the streets are paved with gold and the gates are made of pearl. Servant of God, Well done!

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Anna Watson Ashmon. Anna was a deer classmate at H.A. Hunt High School, class of 1967. She was a sweet and loving friend. Her warm smile and gentile spirit set her apart from other classmates. She always checked on me through my sister Mrs. Annell Dennis. I will miss her. My sister Annell and I, extend prayers to the family on her passing. May God’s peace be with each of you during your time of grief.
