The funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M., Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 110 South McDuffie Street, Buena Vista, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Buena Vista City Cemetery, Highway 137, Buena Vista, Georgia.
Mr. McKinney was born July 19, 1952 in Buena Vista, Georgia to Bobbie L. Chapman McKinney and the late Georgia McKinney, Sr. He was a 1972 graduate of Marion County High School and a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Marjorie Johnson McKinney. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deeyanna Smith. After several years of dedicated services to the City of Buena Vista City Sanitation Department, he retired as a truck operator.
Survivors include a loving and devoted mother, Bobbie McKinney, Buena Vista, Georgia; three loving and devoted children, Alrikian Daron McKinney, Columbus, Georgia, Cheyanna Smith and Lakyla Clark both of Buena Vista, Georgia; a beloved companion, Louvenia Clark, Bueva Vista, Georgia; three stepchildren, April Smith (Steven), Buena Vista, Georgia, Clifford Clark (Shakelia), Americus, Georgia, and David Clark, Buena Vista, Georgia; eight grandchildren including one devoted granddaughter, Ja-Kalya Smith, Buena Vista, Georgia; seven siblings, Bobbie Belinda King (Willie), Conyers, Georgia, Darlene Clayton (Billy), Buena Vista, Georgia, George McKinney, Jr., East Point, Georgia, Annie Irving (Curtis), Columbus, Georgia, Rose Times (Rickey), McDonough, Georgia, Dorothy Fudge (Alex Peavy), Buena Vista, Georgia and Gwendolyn Hudspeth, Birmingham, Alabama; aunts and uncles, Annie Rose Walton, Crystal Gilder (Roosevelt), Hawaiian Sales, Anita Wimbush (Elem), Ozella Walton (Willie) all of Buena Vista, Georgia and Helen McRae, La Habra, California; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
